Bron Breakker still runs NXT.
Bron Breakker retained the NXT Championship in the main event of NXT Vengeance Day, defeating Grayson Waller in the main event. The bout took place inside a steel cage, but a winner could only be crowned by pinfall or submission.
Waller looked for his viral moment with a leap off the cage, but Breakker had other ideas, preventing Waller from making the jump and instead bringing him down with a superplex. Breakker would hit back-to-back spears for the victory.
After the match, as Breakker was celebrating on top of the cage, Carmelo Hayes strolled down the aisle with his sights set on the NXT Champion.

Breakker has been the NXT Champion for 307 days, winning the title on the April 4, 2022 episode of WWE Raw when he defeated Dolph Ziggler. He's made 11 successful title defenses.
