Oba Femi Addresses Comments About Him Being The Future Of WWE, States That He’s Ready Right Now
Femi is ready to go.
Kicking off night two of WWE WrestleMania 42 is the singles match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar.
Going into the bout, Femi is making the media rounds, and Cameron Hawkins of Uncrowned published a feature piece about him. Femi looked back at the segment he had with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes leading up to their bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December.
Femi stated that he wanted to make a statement. He went on to address the comments about him being the future of WWE. Femi said he’s ready now.
“I made it a mission of mine to show these people at the main roster, show all the producers, the bookers, the head honchos that I belong. I’m not just a prospect, because this thing that (people) keep saying, ‘The future, the future, the future’ — it’s like, no, man. These guys are at the top and they’re in their 40s. I’m under 30. I’m ready to go, and I wanted to show them that day, and what better stage to do that than side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder with the number one guy in the company, Cody Rhodes? And I think I accomplished my mission. My statement was clear: I belong here.”
Femi and Lesnar gave their final words to one another on the April 13th Monday Night Raw. For more on that, click here.
