Oba Femi: I Strongly Believe The Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans & Oba Femi Era Of NXT Will Be Romanticized Like How Black & Gold Is Romanticized

Femi believes that era of NXT will be looked back on fondly.

In 2025, Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans were all members of the NXT talent roster. Present day, Femi and Evans are part of Monday Night Raw, and Williams is on Friday Night SmackDown.

All three talents are set for in-ring action at WrestleMania 42. Femi was interviewed by Cameron Hawkins of Uncrowned and expressed his thought that the Williams, Evans, and Femi era of NXT will be romanticized like how NXT Black and Gold is romanticized.

“It puts joy in my heart knowing that we did what we did for the brand of NXT. We became the top trio in the next year, and we all got called up around the same time, and it’s good to watch the people around you grow as well. They pushed me to become a better version of myself. You know the way the (NXT) Black and Gold is romanticized by fans? I do strongly believe that the Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans and Oba Femi era will also be romanticized.”

On night two of WrestleMania 42, Femi will be squaring off against Brock Lesnar. Trick Williams will be challenging Sami Zayn for the United States Championship, and Je’Von Evans will be in a Ladder match for the Intercontinental Title.
