The OC discuss their run in NXT.
In February, The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) started making regular appearances on NXT television. The duo has worked with talent such as Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger, and more.
Speaking on Talk'N Show, Gallows & Anderson commented on their NXT run.
Anderson: When we go there now, this is me speaking honest and open, I don't feel the weird jealousy or bitterness of 'why are these guys here?' We have not felt that. When we debuted in WWE in 2016, when we went to NXT and walked back there, I felt that. I'm just keeping it real.
Gallows: I don't want to go too deep, but you could tell, because it is competitive, it kind of felt like that we should have gone through the NXT system. I felt that. My argument and rebuttal to that is that, I don't necessarily look at NXT as a developmental system like what I came through in 2005-2007. I went there when I was 21 years old in a warehouse and doing 500 squats. It's two different things; they're producing a television show, but I had already been through the full developmental thing. Had a WWE run, had a TNA run, had a New Japan run. You had been a featured high card act in New Japan for eight years. If I was 21 again, obviously, I need to be there. I didn't feel like we needed to be there, but I am glad we are there now because I enjoy the experience.
Anderson: I'm beyond glad we're going down there.
Gallows: We even said, 'Bring us me. We're great with it.' I don't know if everybody feels that way. I think everybody is pretty positive now, but we do feel it.
Anderson & Gallows said they were coming off a hot run in New Japan in 2016 when they signed with WWE and that may have caused some competitiveness, not jealousy, in the locker room.
The duo has been joined by fellow OC member Michin in NXT in recent weeks.
