Boltin's first singles title in New Japan.
There was a NEVER Openweight Championship match on the bill for NJPW Dominion. Going into the match as champion was Konosuke Takeshita and he defended against Oleg Boltin.
The championship had been in Takeshita's possession since he won the belt at Wrestle Kingdom 19.
His title reign came to an end at Dominion as Boltin defeated him to win his first singles title in New Japan.
Both Takeshita and Boltin are scheduled for the NJPW G1 Climax 35 tournament which kicks off July 19th.
