Oney Lorcan Confirms WWE Release

Oney Lorcan is headed to free agency.

On Thursday, Oney Lorcan confirmed he was released by WWE. Oney posted a video on social media announcing his release. He said he had a great six years in WWE and would look back on his time fondly, calling it a "cool chapter in life." He said he looking forward to the future and that he has a 90-day non-compete clause.

Lorcan signed with WWE in September 2015 and made his television debut on the June 22, 2016 episode of NXT where he defeated Tye Dillinger (Shawn Spears in AEW). Lorcan is a former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Danny Burch. He last wrestled on the September 28 episode of NXT where he was defeated by Xyon Quinn in three minutes.

He went by the name Biff Busick prior to joining WWE.
