On the August 8 edition of AEW Collision, Orange Cassidy faced Matt Sydal in a first-round matchup in the AEW Continental Challenge Cup.
Towards the end of the bout, Matt Sydal went for a Shooting Star Press, but Cassidy ducked it. Cassidy then hit Sydal with a Beach Break to score the pinfall. He has now advanced in the Continental Challenge Cup.
