Orange Cassidy Says He Can Rely On Roderick Strong And Kyle O’Reilly In A Different Way Compared To His Other Friends
Orange Cassidy on his bond with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong.
Cassidy has been friends with a ton of people throughout his time in AEW. Aside from O’Reilly and Strong, he’s currently aligned with names like Mark Briscoe, Willow Nightingale, and Tomohiro Ishii in the Conglomeration faction.
Speaking with Fightful’s Shirleigh for a new interview, Cassidy compared his trio with Roderick and Kyle to his past partnership with Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor.
“A different type of reliability. Because when I was with Trent and Chuck, was a different type. That was a
friendship that we had for a very long time. I think friends came before partners. Here, it was like, they
were my enemies. Like Kyle debuted in AEW and kneed me in the back of the neck to have Adam Cole
win. Like Roddy took my International title from me. These are guys that were my sworn enemies and
then when you get to understand who they are as people, we bond over things that have happened to us
and then you realize that like, ‘Oh yeah, I can rely on Roddy and Kyle a different way than I could rely on
my other friends.’ I just thought of that all on the spot too. Isn’t that crazy? I had to stop myself. I was like,
‘Stop talking because you’re done.'”
