Original El Grande Americano Takes El Grande Americano II’s Spot In Rey de Reyes Qualifier, Wins Match On 2/7 AAA On FOX

El Grande Americano I is continuing to cost El Grande II opportunities.

The main event of AAA on FOX on 2/7 was a qualifying match for the Rey de Reyes tournament final. It was a four-way match that was advertised as El Grande Americano II (Ludwig Kaiser) versus Dragon Lee versus Rey Fenix versus Octagón Jr.

Before the match got underway, El Grande Americano I (Chad Gable) attacked El Grande II and handcuffed him to a structure backstage. He proceeded to take El Grande II’s spot in the qualifying match.

Los Americanos (Rayo Americano & Bravo Americano) attempted to help their El Grande get free from the handcuffs, but were initially unsuccessful.

While El Grande 1 was competing in the match, he pulled out a metal plate, slipped it in between his mask, and used it on Dragon Lee and Octagón Jr. He hit Octagón with a diving headbutt to secure the win and advance to the Rey de Reyes final. Post-match, El Grande II jetted to the ring and chased his opposition away.

Thus far, La Parka and El Grande Americano 1 have qualified for the Rey de Reyes tournament final four-way on March 14th.
