Otis says that even though he and Dusty roads are both good looking, thick men, there will only ever be one “American Dream.”
Otis is #BlueCollarStrong. Some might even argue that he is a common man, working hard with his hands. For whatever reason, be it his girth or his ability to connect with the crowd, Otis has been receiving comparisons to the legendary Dusty Rhodes.
Speaking with Sportskeeda, Otis admitted that he appreciates the comparisons but he understands that Dusty Rhodes was a once-in-a-lifetime athlete.
"There's only one Dusty Rhodes. I haven't heard too much of that comparison but I guess you could say that because we're both big, beefy guys. Good looking, thick men. It's an honor," Otis said. “He's one of the best of all time, Dusty Rhodes and watching his stuff back too, just to see how he was working his swagger on the camera, how he translated to the fans was awesome, man.”
He continued, “I never studied Dusty too much but you've got to appreciate every time you watch his old matches, even the Polka Dot matches, he's shaking, baby. He's a legend, man, and I would hope to be close to 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes in comparison.”
Otis has been lighting up Friday Night SmackDown as of late. He is the Money in the Bank briefcase holder which guarantees him an opportunity at a WWE World Championship at any point of his choosing for up to one year.
