Otis Says It's Hard To Stop Laughing In Backstage Promos With Mandy Rose & Dolph Ziggler

Over the past few months, one of the most captivating storylines in WWE has been the love saga involving Otis, Mandy Rose, Dolph Ziggler, and Sonya Deville. The story has taken many twists and turns, peaking at WrestleMania 36 when Mandy aligned with Otis and the two shared a kiss.

It was a moment that came off nicely on television but could have been so much more in front of a live crowd.

"The only thing sad to me was, the payoff of me and Mandy finally touching the lips. [I could imagine] crazy noise going on. I'm not saying it would have been the reaction of the night, but I would want to be there to get that feeling that we usually get. The reason I wanted it is, at the Royal Rumble, they put me under the ring so I could lay down and Mandy could land on me. I'm thinking, 'Oh boy. I get pretty sweaty. I hope nothing goes wrong.' If you watch it back, the first three rows of people, you see them go 'What the.' When she falls and the camera is in the right position, everyone goes crazy. I'm sitting there, helping her get up, thinking, 'This is awesome.' She's trying to keep her balance. Then carrying on to WrestleMania and the crowd we were going to have. It would have been awesome," Otis told Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory.

While Mandy & Otis are against Ziggler & Sonya on-screen, behind the scene they have a tough time getting through scenes given the personalities involved.

"The hardest part is to keep everybody to stop laughing during the backstage promos. If I start going, Mandy gets going, Dolph will say something. Dolph is hilarious, he's a stand up comedian. He says something. There's gotta be some serious moments, it can't be all laughs during the backstage interviews," he said.

Otis currently holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, which allows him to cash in for a WWE title opportunity at any point over the next year.

Elsewhere during the interview, Otis discussed WWE's decision to put him in trunks. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
