Paige: Passing The Ram-Paige To Nia Jax Was Bittersweet

When Nia Jax made her return to WWE television following WrestleMania 36, she paid tribute to her friend Paige by using The Ram-Paige (Cradle DDT) during the match.

Paige later revealed that she gave Jax permission to use the move.

During a Twitch stream, Paige further commented on passing the move to Jax and offered a critique.

"It's a bittersweet feeling. Once you retire it's like, 'okay, I can't use my move anymore.' But you give it to someone else and it's like, 'now it's official, I really can't use my move anymore.' It was like the nail in the coffin. You did it so good. The only thing is, what I would prefer when I would used to do it, is that they spike instead of rolling over. It looks more impactful. Like a DDT," she said.

Jax said, "I was so honored because I did ask Paige if I could use her finisher just to carry on her legacy. The girls at the PC who I've been doing it to can attest to, it's just different. It wasn't like I could sit there and be like, 'Hey, let's roll through and do stuff.' It was like, 'We've got to go.' I couldn't run her through it."

Paige has given the "never say never" line about possibly coming out of retirement, but there is no indication she will be cleared to compete.

Elsewhere during the stream, Jax revealed that she was technically cleared to return from double ACL surgery in November, but the return was held off until April.
