Paige Says She Had To Calm Nia Jax Down After Nia Injured Becky Lynch; Says Nia Felt Everyone Was Mad

Nia was there for Paige during her time of need and Paige returned the favor.

Former 3-time WWE Women's Champion Paige has been making the rounds all over the media circuit to promote the Fighting With My Family film which released in theaters in the United States on Valentine's Day. Paige has talked with a number of outlets and one of the outlets was the Los Angeles Times. It was a joint interview as the publication talked to Paige, Steven Merchant who is the director of the film and Florence Pugh who plays Paige in the film.

During their conversation Paige talked about how she comforted her good friend Nia Jax after Nia injured Becky Lynch on the WWE RAW Survivor Series go-home show which put a hold on Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey's match at the November pay-per-view. Paige shared that she had to calm Nia down after it happened because Nia felt that everyone was upset with her.

?I karaoke with Nia Jax." Paige exclaims. ?She?s incredible. She just sent me flowers and chocolates to my house. She?s great at karaoke. Mandy Rose, terrible singer. Put that on the record." Paige continued, "I had to calm Nia down from that [Injuring Becky Lynch] because she was like, ?I feel like everyone is mad? and I said, ?You know what? This elevated Becky so much too, and you?re about to turn heel anyways ? so who cares?"

While Fighting With My Family was in production, there was a rough patch that Paige went through during the summer of 2017 involving Alberto El Patron. Paige reflected on that portion of her life on top of other struggles she battled through at the time and said WWE constantly checked up on her and added that she never wants to be in a position like that again.

?That?s the thing that was kind of a guiding light,? says Paige, reflecting on how the film helped her. ?I was like, ?Man, I have this movie coming out. I don?t want to mess this up.? Because at one point it could have all just been gone. They [WWE] would call me every week, wanting to help me constantly. They even flew me in and tried to sit me down and talk to me,? she says. ?The first thing they said to me when I came back was, ?We never thought that we were going to see you again ? alive.' That broke my heart,? she adds. ?And I would never want to be in that position again.?
