Paige Says She's Gonna Stay On Twitch, Wants To Continue To Be A Role Model

Paige is blown away by the support and plans to stay on Twitch.

Following several wrestlers suspending their third-party accounts on platforms such as Cameo and Twitch, Paige spoke out, in a very emotional stream, saying that she felt the need to stand up to WWE after seeing many of her friends shut down their streams.

"There may be a time where I have to stop streaming. I'll have to walk away. If I have to leave, we have to make today and Saturday fucking crazy. I've honestly gotten to the point where I cannot deal with this company anymore. Now I have to make a very important decision. I'm fucking tired, man. I broke my fucking neck twice, twice for this company. Over fucking worked. I broke my fucking neck twice for this company. They don't realize that this community isn't about subs. We build a community and family where this is an escape for a lot of people, including myself. I can't wrestle anymore. I was worked so hard in WWE that I can't wrestle anymore because my neck is fucked. My whole dreams got taken away. I had to have something that fulfilled that huge fucking void that I lost with wrestling. I couldn't wrestle anymore, something I lived and breathed since I was a fetus, and it got ripped away from me. I had to find something that I could fill a little bit of that and Twitch was a wonderful thing for me. It's such a wonderful place for me," she said.

In a new stream on Halloween Day 2020, Paige thanked her audience for the outpouring of support and said that she plans on staying on Twitch, noting that she likes to do what is right and wants to continue to be a role model.

“The fact that you guys are just so supportive of all of us and me, in general, is like, holy crap, this is wonderful and made me feel so much happier and so much better,” she’d say. “So, yeah, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing because, you know, I don't have a lot going on, you guys. I really don't. I feel really happy today because of all the support that was given. I don't have a lot going on. So this is really special to me.”

She would continue, “I'm always one that speaks my mind. It's kind of bittersweet because I can get in trouble for being honest and having an opinion or it can be something very positive where I helped a lot of people.

“I like to stand up for what is right. For not just me, but for everybody. I think it's very important to always carry yourself in a certain regard. I just want to carry myself in a way where people can look at me one day and say, ‘wow, she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself.’ I just feel like that is more of a role model. Because, obviously, I did some stupid stuff oh, I went through a crazy stage in my life for a couple of years but how I came out of that, I feel like I did a good job and I want to continue trying to be a role model for people and show people that you can say and do whatever you want if it's in the right way.”
