WWE Fastlane 2023 Date And Location Announced

WWE is returning to Indianapolis.

On the June 20 edition of The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee announced that WWE fastlane will be held on October 7 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

WWE then confirmed the announcement in a press release.

WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that WWE Fastlane will take place Saturday, October 7 from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It marks the first premium live event to emanate from Indianapolis in seven years. WWE Fastlane will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else.

WWE first held Fastlane in 2015. It was an annual pay-per-view until 2019, and the last WWE Fastlane event was held in 2021. In the main event, Roman Reigns defended the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan.

The company has not held a pay-per-view in Indianapolis since WWE Night of Champions 2016.

McAfee remains somewhat involved with WWE. He joined the SmackDown commentary team in 2021 and later signed an extension with WWE in July 2022. He stepped away from WWE in September 2022 as he joined ESPN College GameDay.

McAfee made one-off returns at WWE Royal Rumble 2023 and WrestleMania 39. He recently signed a deal with ESPN that will bring The Pat McAfee Show to the network. He has said that he and WWE are talking about getting him back in the universe. More information is available here.
