Pat McAfee Cast In Peter Berg Film ‘The Mosquito Bowl’

Pat McAfee has landed a role in “The Mosquito Bowl,” an upcoming Netflix film directed by Peter Berg.

McAfee will play the role of a US Marine drill instructor. The film is currently in production.

“Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, four of America’s top college football players enlist in the Marines. As they prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa, they’ll play in a legendary game that, for many, will be the last they ever play. Based on a true story,” is the Netflix description of the film.

The name “The Mosquito Bowl” refers to a football game played between two regiments of Marines on Guadalcanal on December 24, 1944.

It is adapted from the 2022 book by Buzz Bissinger, “The Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II.”

Pat McAfee stepped away from his WWE Raw commentary duties in June, saying he hit a wall and was getting exhausted. He hosts his daily morning show and is part of ESPN College GameDay with college football season resuming.

He will be part of WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20th in Indiana.
