Paul Heyman: One Week Without Me And Roman Reigns Got COVID. Karma Can Be Bitchy

Paul Heyman says that you can survive the ‘Rona but karma, that is a different story.

For all of 2021 and the latter half of 2020, Paul Heyman served as the special counsel to Roman Reigns as he dominated over Friday Night SmackDown. However, in the back of everybody's mind, there was always the relationship with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar that would be called into question.

Whenever Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar crossed paths during 2021 it was always implied that Brock Lesnar was still being represented by Paul Heyman even though Paul swore that his allegiance lay with Roman Reigns. On the final live episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns officially fired Paul Heyman ahead of his planned match with Brock Lesnar at the WWE day one event. However, Roman Reigns was tested positive for covid on the day of the event and was not able to compete.

Brock Lesnar was swiftly added to the WWE Championship match at the pay-per-view instead, a move that was credited to Paul Heyman. Now, on the first Monday Night Raw of 2022, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar have officially been reunited as Paul Heyman returns to his familiar role as The Advocate.

In his speech, Paul Heyman threw in a little job to his former client saying that in just one week without him as his special counsel, Roman Reigns would come down with COVID.

“You can beat the ‘Rona, but karma can be a little bitchy,” said Paul Heyman.

Brock Lesnar's opponent for the 2022 Royal Rumble event will be determined tonight in a fatal 4-way match. We will have coverage of who the opponent will be after the match airs.
