Paul Heyman is regarded as one of the best of all time on the microphone and he's battled many foes on the mic.
Whether he's standing across the ring from CM Punk or Vince McMahon, Heyman is never one to back down with the mic in his hand.
But who is his favorite person to have a promo segment with?
"Stephanie McMahon because she's very real out there," Heyman told Ryan Satin on Out of Character. "She's authentic. Whether she knows what you're going to say or not know what you're going to say, she's three steps ahead at all times. If you're not four steps ahead, you are playing catch up with her. She's so invested in the character. Just the little nuances that she does. The way she can sit there and stare you down and hold back the smile, but the smile starts to break through. A very underrated performer and an interesting, intriguing, challenging person to stand across the ring with, with microphones in your hand. It can go different ways really quickly."
Heyman and Stephanie have clashed many times on television dating back to their time together in the Alliance in 2001. In 2016, Heyman and Stephanie had multiple segments together with Stephanie representing The Authority and Heyman advocating for Brock Lesnar.
Elsewhere during the interview, Heyman discussed his current role in WWE as the special counsel to Roman Reigns. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
