Paul Wight Says ‘Big Show’ Arrow Pointing Down Shirt Was A Vince McMahon Idea, ‘It Sold Pretty Well’

Paul Wight went by The Big Show in WWE, and had nicknames on top of that, including the Big Nasty Bastard.
Having the name The Big Show opens up jokes and comments about certain body parts being big (penis, we’re talking about the penis here), to the point where WWE fans could let people know if they had a big show or not (truth not required).
Speaking on Going Ringside, Wight gave the origin story of his most infamous t-shirt.
“Remember the t-shirt ‘The Real Big Show’ with the arrow pointing down? Vince McMahon made that shirt and is hysterical about it. [Does Vince imitation] ‘Got this new merchandise idea for you. Hahaha. The Big Show. Get it?’ ‘Thank you sir’ What do you say? ‘I hate it.’ No, it’s smart. It actually sold pretty well. It was one of my better selling shirts,” he said.
Fans can still find the shirt out in the wild if they look hard enough.
Wight is currently signed to AEW. He last wrestled in January 2024.
