At WWE Money In The Bank, in the main event of the Premium Live Event, the men’s Money In The Bank briefcase would be on the line. In the closing stages of the matchup, Penta would hit a Mexican destroyer on Bron Breakker on a ladder, before the luchador would climb to the top of another ladder, bringing the briefcase down and becoming Mr. Money In The Bank.
While speaking with WWE Now in the Money In The Bank recap, Penta would note that his cash-in will be ‘not too soon.’
“But not yet. Not too soon. This is a big surprise because I was thinking something when I climbed to the top in the ladder. This is the real key for I will become to world champion, right? Now I decide when. I decide where, and I decide against who.”
