Penta Wins Ladder Match To Retain WWE Intercontinental Title At WrestleMania 42

The belt remains with Penta.

The second match of the evening at WrestleMania 42 was a Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Competing in the match were the following talents:

• Penta (c)
• Dragon Lee
• J.D. McDonagh
• Rusev
• Rey Mysterio
• Je’Von Evans

One of the highlights during the bout saw Penta pop-up Rey Mysterio to the outside for a West Coast Pop onto Rusev through a ladder.

Another highlight was Penta doing a Mexican Destroyer to McDonagh off a ladder through a ladder. The backend of the bout saw Penta stop Evans from getting to the gold by hitting him with a Destroyer.

Penta then climbed a ladder to retain his Intercontinental Championship.
