Penta Defeats Dominik Mysterio To Win Intercontinental Championship On WWE Raw

To close out the second hour of this week’s WWE Raw, Dominik Mysterio defended the Intercontinental Championship against Penta. Before the match, ‘Dirty Dom’ was cursed backstage by Danhausen.

The curse ended up being legitimate for Mysterio, as his 94 day reign with the title comes to an end. The finish of the match saw Mysterio call for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to hand him his belt. McDonagh nearly followed through with the request before he was stopped by Balor, who reminded him that Mysterio didn’t want their help.

Moments later, Penta nailed Dominik with a Mexican Destroyer to win the title.

This is Penta’s first major title win since 2023, when he won the ROH World Tag Team Championships with Rey Fenix.
