Persephone Comments On Possibly Doing A Hair Vs. Mask Match, ‘I’m Gonna Defend These Curls Till I Die’

Persephone doesn’t plan on losing her hair in a match.

The hair vs. mask match stipulation is quite popular in lucha libre, but if you might want to bet on another horse if you’re expecting Persephone to lose her her curls anytime soon.

“I am gonna defend these curls till I die. No one is taking these off of me and it’s been media day all day. So I’ve had questions already of when are we going to get a hair versus mask or a hair versus hair match? My God, if I ever have to, let me tell you, I’m doing anything I have to do to keep these curls on my head. Like don’t get me wrong. I am going for that World Championship, the CMLL one this Friday with everything. But if one day they say it’s the title or the curls, I think I’m gonna have to pick my curls. Like, I don’t know, man. I’m not taking these bad boys off any day.” Persephone told Fightful in a new interview.

Persephone was then asked about her thoughts on her feud with La Catalina.

“Oh, disgusting. My God. I was having such a good Tuesday. It was such a good morning over here. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining and now I just feel disgusted. In fact, I think we might have to pause and go puke before we move on. Catalina, she’s been an interesting thorn in my side for think over a year now. It’s been a while of her being obsessed with me. I’ve said it time and time again, I will gladly pay the co-pay of her therapy because I think she’s obsessed with me. I don’t know if she loves me. I don’t know what it is, but she’s just always there being a thorn in my side. So going back to this hair versus hair, I will gladly shave her head if it comes to that. That’ll be just one of the best nights of my life.”
