Persephone Wins CMLL World Women’s Title From Mercedes Mone

Persephone is the new CMLL World Women’s Champion, defeating Mercedes Mone at CMLL La Noche de Las Amazonas on March 6.
The finish saw Persephone hit a springboard frog splash for the pinfall.

This is the first reign as CMLL World Women’s Champion for Persephone. Mercedes held the title for 262 days. She made three successful title defenses.
Mercedes Mone is down to eight physical championship titles: Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, EWA Women’s Championship (Austria), PTW Women’s Championship (Poland), BestYa Women’s Championship (Italy), the Bodyslam Women’s Championship (Denmark), WPW Women’s Championship (Canada), APAC Women’s Championship (Malaysia) and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship
