Pete Dunne brings the UK Championship to Brooklyn next week as he'll defend the title against Zack Gibson. The match was announced on Wednesday's episode of NXT.
Dunne has been the UK champion since May 20, 2017 when he defeated Tyler Bate at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. His last title defense came on Aug. 11 in PROGRESS against Morgan Webster. He's made 15 defenses of the title since wrestling the belt away from Bate.
Gibson won the second annual United Kingdom Tournament back on June 25, defeating Travis Banks in the Finals. The victory allowed him to challenge Dunne for the UK title the next day. Despite his best efforts, Gibson failed to dethrone Dunne atop the UK mountain.
NXT will be at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn next week, taped prior to Saturday's TakeOver: Brooklyn IV event.
