Philippou Brothers Say A24 Deathmatch Documentary Is 'Probably About 60-70 Percent' Finished

The Philippou brothers provide an update on their deathmatch documentary.

Updates on the untitled documentary for A24 have been few and far between in recent years. In March 2024, Joey Janela revealed that he was filming some content for the project, posting a photo of himself visiting the location of his infamous roof fall in GCW.

While chatting with Bloody Disgusting for a new interview, the 'Talk To Me' and 'Bring Her Back' directing duo gave a small update on the deathmatch project, stating that it is "probably about 60-70 percent” done at this point.

Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou also stated that they are focusing on finishing the documentary before they make the sequel to 'Talk To Me' or another original horror film for A24.

Fans can support the Philippou brother duo by seeing their new film, 'Bring Her Back'. The film hits theaters on Friday, May 30.
