Pittsburgh is not only the home of WWE color-commentator Corey Graves and RAW GM Kurt Angle, but it is also the home of the late 'Warrior Award' winner Connor Michalek. The 'Pittsburgh City Paper' published an article on the connection that Daniel Bryan has to the "Steel City". Only having graced the earth for eight years Connor made an impact after a social media campaign was started so that he could meet his favorite wrestler Daniel Bryan. Connor had been battling brain and spinal cancer since he was three years old. A few weeks before the young man passed he was able to share a moment with his favorite wrestler as Connor sat in the front row and watched Daniel Bryan win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.

Connor passed away a few weeks after WrestleMania 30 in his hometown of Pittsburgh and one year later he was announced as the recipient of the 'Warrior Award' and doing the honors of presenting the award along with Connor's father Steve was none other than Daniel Bryan. In June of 2014 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon founded the 'Connors Cure' project which is a non-profit organization that is all about finding the research to help others fight off pediatric cancer.

Bryan is in Pittsburgh tonight and will also be looking to once again hold championship gold in the WWE.
