- Elsewhere last night, we had The Mae Young Classic Finals, and it was all kinds of hot fire.
Kairi Sane emerged victorious, thanks to her in-SANE elbow drop...
Along with her bouquet of roses and her Aggro-crag trophy that is bigger than she is, Sane gets a shot at the now vacant NXT Women's Title at NXT Takeover Houston on Survivor Series Weekend.
But if you're thinking of crying for Shayna Baszler, don't. She's gonna be just fine.
Here are some highlights from the Red Carpet event before the MYC Finals:
- Over on SmackDown, the New Day celebrated their 4th reign as WWE Tag Champs (second on SmackDown) as only they can.
The Usos aren't going away, though.
- In what appeared to be an oddly-placed throwaway match, the Hype Bros lost to Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, then Zack Ryder stormed off without shaking his opponents' outstretched hands.
- And back over on 205 Live, Rich Swann and TJP had the rubber match that seemingly put an end to their feud which had lasted several weeks, and featured three great bouts, as well as deepening both characters and their relationship.
No one will remember it in two months.
That makes me sad.
