Grayson Waller Attacks Johnny Gargano, Dragon Lee Appears | NXT Fight Size

Here's your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on March 14, 2023.

- Johnny Gargano kicked off the show and discussed his return to NXT. He looked back on the way Grayson Waller attacked him the last time he was on NXT. He noted that he wanted to finish what he started, and he came back to NXT to finish his story. Gargano admitted that he respected Waller for taking him out, so he waited to come back because he wanted to see what Waller would do moving forward. He stated that Waller failed to win the NXT Championship twice. Gargano said that NXT is his home. Vic Joseph showed Gargano that Waller was at Gargano's house. Gargano left the ring and went home to go stop Waller. Later in the show, Gargano arrived at his house, and Waller attacked him. They brawled, and Waller gained the upper hand. He left Gargano lying, and he proceeded to walk away.

- In a brief interview, Dragon Lee said that, based on the chaos he saw with the North American Championship open challenge, he's going to love it in NXT.

- Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) unsuccessfully challenged Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Later in the show, they discussed their loss and stated that they don't need NXT Stand & Deliver; Stand & Deliver needs them. They excitedly said they should host the show. WWE later confirmed that they would host NXT Stand & Deliver.

- Axiom approached Wes Lee in the parking lot and made it clear he wouldn't leave his side so he could accept Lee's open challenge for the NXT North American Championship. Later in the show, several contenders tried to answer the challenge. Axiom brawled with them and made his way to the ring. SCRYPTS attacked him, and JD McDonagh took the fight to Lee until Dragunov stopped him. Lee dived onto a sea of contenders.

- Apollo Crews faced Dabba-Kato, and the former allies battled in a hard-fought match. In the end, Dabba-Kato pinned the former WWE Intercontinental Champion.

- In an interview, Jacy Jayne, with her arm in a sling, stated that she suffered a separated shoulder in her match against Gigi Dolin, and she could barely lift her arm in the match. She said it would be pathetic if Dolin considered that a victory. Jayne vowed to break Dolin's heart and her face once she's back.

- NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes signed the contract for their title match at NXT Stand & Deliver. They hyped up the importance of the match, with Breakker saying it could be the biggest bout in NXT history. Breakker and Hayes then slammed Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) through a table.

- Fallon Henley and Josh Briggs broke into Kiana James' office, hoping to prove that she wad cheating on Brooks Jensen. Fallon found a contract that showed that James had a contract for an NXT Women's Championship qualifying match. Henley discovered a notebook that laid out Kiana's plan to form a tag team with her. She saw that James had dinner plans with Sebastian, who also left her flowers after a date.

- Zoey Stark defeated Sol Ruca in a qualifying match for the NXT Women's Championship Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver.

- Scrypts delivered a mysterious promo about his mask.

- Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre defeated Kayden Carter & Katana Chance and Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley to earn a shot at the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver. During the match, Paxley turned on Nile.

- Tony D'Angelo, alongside Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, approached NXT Champion Bron Breakker, who made some jokes about how they could do some stuff like The Godfather when D'Angelo offered to Carmelo Hayes out. D'Angelo said it's time for them to win some gold, and he noted that he had his sights set on the tag team titles.

- In a promo, Ilja Dragunov noted that JD McDonagh has cut his legs out from under him. He stated that to continue his ascension, he needed to rid himself of McDonagh once and for all. McDonagh said they're two sides of the same coin. He looked back on their feud and stated that they're destined to keep fighting for a long time. Dragunov emphasized that he wanted to end their rivalry and challenged McDonagh to a match. He accepted, and they brawled all the way to the backstage area until they were pulled apart.

- Dr. Warren Becker offered a medical update on NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez and stated that there's no timeline for her return.

- Thea Hail kept meditating with Tyler Bate. Andre Chase approached Duke Hudson, who stood by his comments about Chase University. Chase stated that it's about more than the win-loss record; it's about learning and growth. He said he found his purpose at Chase U. Chase noted that Hudson finally cared about something. Ava Raine snuck up and placed a Schism mask by Hudson, seemingly recruiting him to the group.

- Kiana James tried to call Fallon Henley and didn't get an answer. She told Briggs Jensen she wanted to go to the ring by herself for her match. She then faced Gigi Dolin in a qualifying match for the NXT Women's Championship Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver, and Dolin emerged victorious.

-Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre attacked James after the match, and Brooks Jensen made the save. Henley checked on James after the match, and Kiana got upset because Henley wasn't there for her. Henley stated that she didn't know about the qualifying match in the first place. Henley was surprised to learn about their title match at NXT Stand & Deliver.

- NXT North American Champion Wes Lee requested a 10-man match for his title defense at NXT Stand & Deliver. Shawn Michaels agreed to give him a five-man match at the show.

- Before NXT went on the air, Shawn Michaels announced that the NXT Women's Championship would be defended in a Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
