Prince Nana Says Swerve Strickland Is Going To Be A Problem, Teases More Affiliates

On the April 7 episode of AEW Rampage, Swerve Stickland formed a merger with The Embassy, aligning himself with Prince Nana and Brian Cage to decimate Darby Allin.

Strickland's Mogul Affiliates took some front line losses as Parker Boudreaux and Treach were taken out of action.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Prince Nana praised Swerve and teased more Affiliates coming.

"On the flip side of things, with cool, calm, and collected Swerve Strickland. Let me tell you something, I've known Swerve Strickland his whole career. To see him go from day one, 'Hi, how are you. Nice to meet you.' To who he is today. Unbelievable. So proud of him. He is going to be a problem. He is going to be a problem in the wrestling industry. Given six more months of what we have planned and what we're going to put together, and the affiliates that we involved that we're going to be bringing into the picture," Nana said with a laugh.

He continued, "Right now, everything came together. It's not like I was sitting there going, 'I have to get close to Swerve because he's working with Rick Ross.' It's nice to meet Rick Ross and this rapper and that rapper, but we're all trying to feed our families. That's why we're here. Rick Ross is showing up to AEW because he loves this stuff and he realizes and recognizes who Tony Kahn is, who Swerve is, what the Embassy Mogul is about, and wants to be involved. That's why I fell in love with Swerve. He learned the craft the last 15 years, did it at a level where he was, 'I'll put you guys over.' Not really being too loud. Doing great phenomenal matches. Some matches were great, some weren't. He learned, he has kids. With everything he's learned and the connections he's made, and with the things that I learned and the connections I've made and the people I've worked with in music and wrestling, together, it's going to be nuts. Already, people outside of the industry are looking like, 'We want to be a part of this. What can we do to enhance this?' Me and Swerve are on a different level of our relationship. Our relationship before was great, but now it's more better because deep down inside, maybe I didn't know this, maybe I wanted to work with Swerve, and he probably didn't know it, he wanted to work with the Embassy and me. It's a match made in heaven. I feel sorry for the Pillars. It's time for us to take what's ours.

"We're not looking for any slackers. You have to be ready to do this. We are at the peak of what we call readiness. We're ready to go out there and we're ready to move the dial and change the outcome of what people expect it to be. You'll feel it. You'll see it in the promos and the work in the ring. We're tired of just going through the motions. We do this, we're dangerous people. Do not take this as a joke or take this lightly. We're going to be working hard in the ring, working hard in the back, stretching people, politicking, we're going to do everything in our power to make sure everyone in our stable is happy and that our families are fed and that we can go home with smiles on our faces."

Strickland lost to Darby Allin on the April 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, but got a final laugh as he cost Keith Lee his match against Chris Jericho.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
