The war between NJPW and NOAH began a couple of nights early.
Keji Mutoh, Kaito Kiyomiya, Naomchi Marufuji, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and Kenoh led members of the Pro Wrestling NOAH to the ring at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16 night two, saying NOAH is the superior brand and that they have unified against NJPW.
Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi and other members of Los Ingobernables de Japon headed to the ring to confront the NOAH roster, but quickly backed away.
Kaito Kiyomiya and Kenoh shook hands, showing unity against NJPW.
NOAH and NJPW are set to collide on January 8 in a special event for charity.
