QT Marshall Says Anthony Ogogo Is Back In The US, Waiting On Call To Return To AEW

Anthony Ogogo will be back when he's called.

Fans haven't seen Anthony Ogogo in the ring since the June 4 episode of AEW Dynamite where he teamed with QT Marshall to defeat Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson. Ogogo underwent his tenth eye surgery in the summer after Billy Gunn smashed his face into the barricade.

Ogogo traveled to England to get the surgery, but he is now back in America and ready to return when called.

“He just came back,” QT Marshall told Graham GSM Matthews of Daily DDT. “He was overseas getting everything taken care of, so we’ll see. I think it’s about right place, right time and trying to figure out the right story as well. Just to throw someone out there is… my biggest thing for me personally, after 17 years, the last thing I want to do is go in there and take random bumps for no reason. I try to explain that to Anthony and everyone’s itching to get back. Right now, we have a huge roster of huge stars, so it’s just one of those things of going back to the drawing board and figuring it out. But in the meantime, he’s been training and working out and doing what he does. He’ll be ready when that call comes.”

It is unknown when Ogogo will return to television. The Factory was feuding with Cody Rhodes throughout the spring, including Ogogo taking on Cody in singles competition at AEW Double or Nothing.

Cody is now feuding with Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black. He lost to Andrade on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
