QT Marshall: Tony Khan Has Gotten To The Point Where He’s Very Good At Collaborating With Talent While Keeping His Vision Intact

QT Marshall praises Tony Khan’s growth.

Since the beginning of AEW, Marshall has worked side-by-side with Khan, as he’s served as the company’s Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination for both of his tenures with the promotion.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo for a new interview, Marshall said that Khan has gotten very good about collaborating with talent while keeping his vision intact.

“It’s hard, right? We don’t have a giant writing team, we have a very small circle that all starts with him. He bounces ideas off of us but he also bounces ideas off of talent and I think he’s gotten to the point now where he’s very good about collaborating with the talent but also keeping his vision because I think in the past, there were some times where he probably — because of who the talents were at the time or whatever — he might have let them do a little bit different things than what he had actually envisioned and it might have hurt a little bit. I think he’s been a lot better about that and obviously, he’s just the greatest boss to have. I mean, he’s a great person and he really cares about not just you in the ring but also behind the scenes and taking care of the talent and so on. I think he was meant to do this, honestly. I genuinely do. A lot of people might have their opinions on his booking or philosophies or whatever it is but it’s his company, it’s what he wants to do.“

Marshall went on to say that he relates to difficulties that weekly wrestling television brings, citing his 1FW independent promotion.

Elsewhere in the interview, Marshall said that Harley Cameron is his favorite hire. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
