QT Marshall: WWE Booked Center Stage Way After 1FW, We Saw A Good Jump On Tickets After NXT Great American Bash
QT Marshall discusses NXT running their recent Great American Bash PLE at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. He also revealed that the upcoming 1FW Summer Stage event at the venue saw a boost in ticket sales following WWE’s brief weekend residency in Atlanta.
Center Stage is an iconic venue in wrestling. WWE NXT recently held its NXT Great American Bash event in the storied Atlanta arena.
Now, QT Marshall’s 1FW Summer Stage event is taking place at Atlanta’s Center Stage on July 25.. He recently spoke about NXT booking the same venue during an interview with Jeremy Lambert and Stephen Jensen of Fightful Overbooked’s The Spotlight. Marshall mentioned that they offered the audience a premium event, but they also paid a higher premium price to book the venue and booked the show much later than he did. Still, he understands that they do have a shared fan base and was happy to see a jump in ticket sales following WWE hosting the NXT Great American Bash.
“They booked it way after I did, and I think they paid a lot more. They get to do whatever they want, and I was excited for it. I was in Texas, but a couple of my kids were out there handing out some fliers. We had a flyer that very much looked like an AEW flyer. That’s our fanbase as well. If we can steal a couple of those people. Great American Bash is a huge show for NXT, and they were able to charge a premium price for it. Ours is a lot more affordable. We did see a pretty good jump on ticket sales after the weekend.”
QT Marshall also stated that he hopes 1FW will get the chance to run Center Stage annually. Read his comments at this link.
