Quarter-Hour Viewership Numbers For 12/2 Episodes Of AEW Dynamite And NXT

AEW has a strong night on December 2.

The December 2 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 913,000 viewers, the show’s best viewership since September 9. This week's episode featured Kenny Omega capturing the World Championship from Jon Moxley and the surprise debut of Sting. On the other hand, this week's NXT show drew 658,000 viewers with their go-home show for TakeOver: WarGames.

AEW was once again dominant in 18-49 demographic, drawing 543,000 viewers while NXT only captured 210,000 viewers in the coveted demographic.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics released the quarter-hour viewership numbers for the December 2 episodes, which shows how strongly the championship match performed for All Elite Wrestling. There was a clear rise in viewership at the top of the 5th Quarter for Dynamite which coincides with the debut of Sting. Peak viewership overall for AEW was 952,000 viewers in the middle of the championship match.

The strongest performance overall for NXT was at the top of their show which began with a Pat Patterson tribute before transitioning into a tag team match featuring NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff. The first quarter for NXT garnered 718,000 viewers.
