They say, 'Don't ever meet your heroes.' Reverence is temporary until the truth comes out.
At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, John Cena will take on a man who has idolized him since childhood, R-Truth. Cena gave Truth an Attitude Adjustment through a table at WWE Backlash's post-show press conference. As such, Truth revealed, during a conversation with Wade Barrett on the May 16 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, that he had talked to Nick Aldis and got a match made between him and John at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on May 24 in Tampa.
Truth even helped Cena retain the Undisputed WWE Title at WWE Backlash. Now, he says that he will take everything John Cena taught him about never giving up and apply it to beating up Cena so that he can save Cena from himself on this retirement tour.
This match was not announced as an Undisputed WWE Championship match.
