R-Truth: Gunther Has Star Written All Over Him

R-Truth praises Gunther in the wake of The Ring General ending the career of John Cena on December 13th.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, John Cena and Gunther would meet in what would be Cena’s final match in the squared circle. Despite putting up a major fight, Cena would end up succumbing to Gunther’s sleeper hold, tapping out to the submission hold with a smile on his face to bring his legendary pro wrestling career to a close.

While speaking on the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event recap, R-Truth spoke about the finish to the bout, admitting that he feels that Gunther has star written all over him.

“Gunther is, I mean, he’s awesome dog. Gunther is a traditional athlete and he studied the art. He studied his craft, and I see him as like one of the most technical wrestlers, man, of all time time right now. He has star written all over him. He has to look, he has to move. He has the mindset, psychology, Gunther’s all of that.”
