R-Truth Recalls Jack Crockett Pointing At Ric Flair And Telling Him ‘That Could Be You’

R-Truth recalls Jack Crockett telling him he could be Ric Flair if he took the chance he had been given early in his wrestling career.

Following a stint in jail, Truth would meet Jack Crockett, who would give him the opportunity and the in into pro wrestling when Truth decided to give the career a try. Now, Truth has shared an instance where Jack Crockett would point to one of the industries top star and tell Truth he could be on that level.

While speaking to Arizona’s Family in a new interview, R-Truth spoke about an instance early on in his wrestling career where Jack Crockett told him he could be like Ric Flair.

“When that music hit and Ric Flair came out, that’s when I got attention. I’m like, oh, shit, and he (Jack Crockett) said, ‘you see that guy? You see Flair?’ He said, ‘that could be you.’ I came in and took a backdrop. Maybe I took a backdrop and sold out, but it was just, you’d be surprised how many people can’t do that.”
