Randy Orton: I Don't Know What To Expect Against The Fiend, Shit Is Going To Get Crazy

Since October 2020, Randy Orton and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt have been engaged in a fiery feud that has involved falling objects, demon clones, possessed vomiting, and literal fire.

At night two of WrestleMania 37, Orton and "The Fiend" will meet in what is being billed as a singles match. But Orton knows that there is probably more than meets the eye when it comes to "The Fiend."

"I don't know what to expect," said Orton on The Bump. "I don't know what's on the table. I know shit is going to get a little crazy tonight. Hopefully, it all ends up being in my favor. We've done some crazy stuff the last few months. I set that man on fire and he's back. He's going to be looking for retribution. I'll be there and I'll take it like a man and hopefully be able to deliver and give it right back. Our match, it won't be the norm, obviously, given everything that has happened to this point. Something crazy is going to happen out there and when people talk about this WrestleMania, especially day two, The Fiend vs. Orton will be at the top of the list as far as the moment they remember."

At WWE TLC, Orton burned "The Fiend" alive, leaving him to disappear from television until WWE Fastlane. During that time, Alexa Bliss carried the program with Orton.

When asked if he respected Bliss for her part in the feud, Orton replied, "Respect for Alexa? None whatsoever. I don't know what's going on in her head. I'm hoping she's nowhere to be seen tonight. I had to deal with her when The Fiend had been baked to a crisp and I had a little 100-pound female. No problem, right? Next thing you know, I'm vomiting in the ring and there's fire coming from different ways, things falling from the heavens. Not knowing what to expect isn't a good place to be as far as the mindset."

WrestleMania 37 won't be the first time Orton and Wyatt clash on The Grandest Stage of Them All as they previously met at WrestleMania 33.

That match was highlighted by projections taking over the ring as the two men tried to have a wrestling match.

Asked if being in the ring with Wyatt previously will help him on Sunday, Orton said, "Definitely not. Back then, I had gotten into Bray Wyatt's head and split up the Wyatt family. I had a better feel for what was going on. Tonight, not the case. I don't know what to expect and from a fan standpoint, I think that's a great thing. It's going to make for some good TV. Hopefully, at the end of it, I get my hand raised and I can go and start wrestling people with a beating heart and I don't have to resort to setting them on fire."

Orton was victorious at WrestleMania 33.

Kayla Braxton mentioned on The Bump that Orton vs. "The Fiend" will be opening night two of WrestleMania 37.
