Randy Orton helps CM Punk retain at WWE SummerSlam
The penultimate match at WWE SummerSlam saw CM Punk defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes.
Throughout the match, Rhodes targeted Punk’s left knee. Towards the end of the bout, Cody went for an off-the-ropes cutter on Punk, but accidentally ended up hitting the referee instead. Shortly after, Punk hit him with a GTS. He tried to go for another GTS, but Rhodes hit him with the Cross Rhodes. Punk crawled out of the ring after this.

Moments later, Randy Orton entered the ring and RKO’d the American Nightmare. Punk got back into the ring and hit Rhodes with another GTS to end the bout.
