Randy Orton Says He Gave Aiden English The Rub By The Way He Sold In Their Match

Randy Orton says Aiden English benefited from their matches against each other.

Randy Orton and Aiden English have met in a match on Smackdown three times in 2017. In July, Orton was feuding with Jinder Mahal but he lost his match with English due to disqualification. In the last two months, Orton defeated English twice but the matches were longer and English executed more offense. In an interview on E &C's Pod of Awesomeness, Orton said he thinks English's stock has been raised after those matches.

"Aiden English...I got a chance a month or two ago to do a real small thing with him. I won with the RKO. It wasn't the main story. It was leading into something else. He got a nice little rub from that match because of how I sold for him. Then this past week I got to work with him again and again it wasn't about me and him. It was about me and Rusev," said Orton.

Orton said he believes English was grateful for Orton's effort.

"I was able to give him a great set of heat on me, have him reverse out of some stuff that no one has ever seen anyone do to me before. He got his shit in, basically. He was very appreciative and thankful. I could tell he knew I was trying my best to give him as much as I could given the circumstances," said Orton.

The Viper explained he received similar treatment from the hosts of the podcast Edge and Christian and that is why he is happy to pass it on to wrestlers like English. He said he does it to "make the show better."
