Randy Orton Takes Out Matt Hardy On WWE Raw Weeks Before Hardy's Contract Expires, Hardy Tweets Goodbye

Randy Orton was set to explain why he assaulted Edge two weeks ago on WWE Raw when he was interrupted by Matt Hardy. And things didn't end well for Hardy.

Hardy, like everyone else, was searching for answers from Orton. After explaining his relationship with Edge, highlighting the good times on the road and memories in the ring along with eliciting a "Lita" chant, Hardy wanted to know how Orton could attack a man who battled back from a severe neck injury to return to the ring. Instead of delivering an answer, Orton attempted to deliver an RKO to Hardy. Despite his best efforts to fight it off, Orton eventually struck Hardy with the RKO. Orton followed up by hitting the one-man con-chair-to on Hardy, the same move he finished off Edge with two weeks ago.

Hardy's contract is set to expire on Mar. 1 and he has reportedly yet to sign a new contract. Hardy then went to Twitter after the segment where he simply wrote "GOODBYE" and added a link to the latest video in his Free The Delete series.

Following his loss to Erick Rowan on the Jan. 20 episode of WWE Raw, Hardy tweeted, "Hope you’re enjoying my #WWE TV appearances. At this rate there won’t be many more."
