Randy Orton Wrestles Monday, Doesn't Take Bumps

Randy Orton's current injury situation is pretty weird.

Orton hasn't competed in a singles match since WWE Summerslam, when he took a shoot elbow from Brock Lesnar in the night's main event. The wound required Orton ten staples in his head to close the wound, and put him on the shelf for several weeks.

During those several weeks, Orton was promoted as having an upcoming match with Bray Wyatt. News broke Sunday afternoon that the match wouldn't take place because Orton had yet to be cleared. Orton was eliminated from the bout in storyline and replaced by Kane, but showed up and hit an RKO, which required him to take a bump.

Orton returned to the ring Monday night in a tag team match in Fairfax, Virginia on a live event, but didn't take any bumps outside of an RKO. Cena teamed up with longtime rival John Cena to take on Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan.

So Orton isn't taking any bumps outside of a couple of RKOs, was written out of a Sunday match, only to be booked Monday.
