Randy Savage’s Cat Junkyard Cat Is Still Alive And Cared For

Before he passed in 2011, “Macho Man” Randy Savage adopted a cat and named it Junkyard Cat.

The cat was named after Junkyard Dog.

Book Pro Wrestlers shared an update on JYC, writing, “Randy Savage with his handicapped rescue cat, JYC. Short for Junkyard Cat—named after his longtime friend, Junkyard Dog. Randy rescued JYC from a junkyard when he noticed the cat only had three legs. JYC is still alive today, cared for by Randy’s family.”

News of Savage adopting a cat was first shared by his brother Lanny Poffo in 2016.

Poffo posted at the time, “Randy rescued a one-armed kitty about six months before he died. His wife still owns the cat who was named JYC, in honor of his fallen friend, JYD (Junkyard Dog)”
