Raw Audience Drops As WWE Goes Into The Draft

Bad news for WWE, as the company failed to get momentum going into one of their biggest nights of the year.

Monday's episode of Raw did only 3.133 million viewers, which is down from last week's 3.170 million viewers. The show featured a main event WWE Championship match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, as well as Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon naming the Raw and Smackdown general managers.

Raw just barely cracked the top 10 in cable viewership for the evening, as the Republican National Convention coverage monopolized a large portion of the top 10. Major Crimes also ranked above Raw. In the 18-49 demographic, Raw ranked number 2, behind only Love & Hip Hop.

The first hour of the show started out at 3.20 million viewers, and increased to 3.23 million for hour two, before losing over 200,000 viewers for hour three at 2.96 million viewers.

The show had promoted the aforementioned WWE Title match and the GM reveals all week.
