Rebel Says ALS Has Shown Her How Much People Love And Support Her

Rebel discusses people showing support to her after her ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) diagnosis.

In May, Rebel announced that she’s been diagnosed with terminal ALS. Over the past few months, many wrestlers have come out to send a message in support of her, with stars such as Britt Baker and Sting also participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Rebel spoke with WDRB recently, where she talked about the support she’s received from everyone after her ALS diagnosis.

“The greatest thing ALS has given me is to be able to see how much people care and love and support me before I am gone.”

When asked what ALS feels like, she added, “My whole body is becoming paralyzed, but I feel everything.”

Later, she talked about the importance of raising awareness for this disease.

“If we don’t have awareness, we can’t get funds. If we can’t get funds, then we can’t get research. If we can’t get research, we can’t get a cure.”

She also said that while she doesn’t expect to find a cure for herself, she hopes to find one for everyone after her.
