Referee Jessika Carr Moving From NXT To WWE SmackDown

A lateral move.

Following Wednesday's NXT, Tommaso Ciampa informed the crowd at Full Sail that longtime NXT referee Jessika Carr would be making a "lateral move" to WWE SmackDown. Ciampa announced that Carr would be working Friday's SmackDown. The crowd chanted "You deserve it" for Carr, who embraced Ciampa and delivered an NXT farewell speech. In her speech, Carr discussed signing with NXT, being told she was "the worst referee ever" and being told to "quit the business" after her first night of training.

Carr was then embraced by the other NXT referees and NXT founder Triple H at the top of the ramp. You can view the entire farewell in the video above.

Friday won't be Carr's first appearance on WWE SmackDown as she did referee an Aug. 6 bout between Ember Moon and Natalya on the show.
