NXT referee Tom Castor is cleared to return to work after suffering a gruesome injury last year.
Nearly a year after suffering a broken leg at an NXT live event, Castor revealed on Twitter that he has been cleared by WWE. Drake Wuertz wrote on Twitter that he will be at Full Sail today for tonight's episode of NXT.
Tomorrow is a huge day for @WWENXT! Our beloved @tomcastorWWE makes his return to the ring 10 months to the day after breaking his leg in the line of duty. His road to recovery has been inspiring to say the least. @FullSail @NXTUnited —Tom is back! #welcomeback— Drake Wuertz (@WWEDrakeWuertz) February 25, 2020
Castor also went to social media to share the good news and to thank his friends and family for supporting him throughout the past 10 months.
I love pro wrestling then, now and forever. #WeAreNXT@WWENXT pic.twitter.com/iungVgg5FT— Tom Castor (@tomcastorWWE) February 25, 2020
Castor was refereeing a match between Velveteen Dream and Tyler Breeze in Omaha, Nebraska in April 2019, but suffered a broken leg in the middle of the match.
