Jacob Fatu Attacks Roman Reigns With Tongan Death Grip On WWE Raw, World Heavyweight Title Bout Set For WWE Backlash

Roman Reigns grants Jacob Fatu a match at Backlash.
After being showered in chants, Reigns criticized WWE for creating the World Heavyweight Championship to spite him and his historic reign with the WWE Championship. Bragging about bringing relevancy to the title, Reigns told fans that they can finally acknowledge the belt as a true world title.
Jacob Fatu interrupted Reigns and walked to the ring with confidence. Fatu was quick to tell Reigns that he didn’t need any time to think about his decision for Backlash, reminding the ‘OTC’ that he needs his title. Fatu went on and slammed Reigns for running high with The Bloodline while he was broke and wondering if he was going to make it to WWE.
Fatu proceeded to go deeper into family business, saying that Solo Sikoa was the one that gave him a chance and brought him to the company. Reigns completely dismissed that notion, revealing that he was the one that signed off on it.
Reigns proceeded to say that it would be nepotism if he gave Fatu a shot at the title, specifically because he hasn’t earned it. This sent the ‘Samoan Werewolf’ off the edge, as he proceeded to apply the Tongan Death Grip to Reigns until he was down on the mat.
Despite recovering on the mat, Reigns ended the show by accepting Fatu’s challenge for Backlash.
