Renee Young Was Given The Note "You Don't Have To Talk As Much As You Think" On Commentary

Renee Young discusses the notes she's given on commentary.

Since joining the WWE Raw commentary team on a full-time basis last September, Renee Young has received overwhelmingly positive support from fans and peers. However, she's not immune to notes from her co-workers. On the latest episode of her Regular Girls podcast, Renee discussed her weekly commentary review sessions and a recent note she was given.

IPW Defiance Results (4/21): Multiple Title Matches

"Each week, I've been working with Tom Phillips -- This week I worked with Vic Joseph and we'll go back and watch, or listen to my commentary on Raw or a pay-per-view and dissect it, they'll give me pointers," recalled Young "It's extremely beneficial to me. That was kinda the note, 'You don't have to talk as much as you think you need to talk. Maybe sit back and listen a little bit.' I was like, 'Okay.' That's really no easy task for me. I'm used to being 'The Talker' and keeping the ball afloat. When I don't have the ball to keep it afloat, I think that's an uncomfortable spot for me."

Renee added that she's "the Queen of Interruptions" and that "sometimes I’m not really sure where I’m going, I just keep going until I land on it. But doing commentary, you can’t do that because everything is moving so quick and you’re telling a different story. For you to keep trying to land on the thing, the thing is gone by the time you’ve actually gotten to where you’re trying to get.”

Young made history last year by joining the Raw commentary team on a full-time basis and providing commentary at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. She is scheduled to be on commentary for WrestleMania 35.
